Article 50-More than one class of service
Engineers in any class of road service may be required to perform two
or more classes of road service in a day or trip.
Paragraph E-THIS DOES NOT INVOLVE THE COMBINING OF ROAD WITH YARD
SERVICE NOR MODIFY OR SET ASIDE!
Every single engineer in Avon who is coming in off the road on thru
freight service is being forced to dog catch trains and they are being
told by the Superintendent that they can not get them paid on J job
tickets but they can on Y(yard)Job tickets. This is an outright lie.
They can but do not want to. They know that a J ticket for a thru
freight crew has to be a Local switcher ticket with a kind of service 4
and it can not be combined with any yard jobs. They are blowing this
smoke up everyone's arss because they are short in the yard and need
men to pull, hump and hostel cars. They are abusing the agreement in
numerous ways. If you come in and they tell you this NOTIFY YOUR LOCAL
CHAIRMAN IMMEDIATELY. LEAVE A VOICE MAIL OR WHAT EVER BUT LET THEM KNOW.
FILE A CLAIM FOR VIOLATION OF ARTICLE 50 AND MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT
FORGET TO NOTE PARAGRAPH E AND WHO TOLD YOU THEY COULD NOT GET YOU PAID
ON A J TICKET. ASK THEM WHO IS DENYING THE PAY AND WHO THEY ARE GETTING
THEIR INFORMATION FROM.

POOL FREIGHT ENGINEERS MAY BE USED TO RELIEVE A ROAD TRAIN IN TERMINAL
LIMITS WHERE YARD CREWS ARE ASSIGNED BUT THEY ARE ENTITLED TO A "BG"
CLAIM AT A BASIC YARD RATE OF PAY.
THE CALL WILL BE SPECIFIC AS TO WHAT SERVICE THE ENGINEER IS BEING
CALLED TO PERFORM AS TO THE TRAIN NUMBER AND THE TIME TICKET WILL
REFLECT THE TRAIN NUMBER WITH AN "R" DESIGNATIONTO DENOTE RELIEF
SERVICE. IF IN EMERGENCY HE IS CALLED TO RELIEVE A SECOND TRAIN WITHIN
THE YARD/TERMINAL LIMITS HE WILL BE PAID THE PENALTY CLAIM AND WILL
RECEIVE A SEPERATE WORKING TIME TICKET FOR THE SECOND TRAIN.
THIS IS BLACK AND WHITE BROTHERS. MAKE A COPY OF THIS POSTING AND GET
IT OUT TO ALL ENGINEERS. THE USE OF Y(YARD) TICKETS IS AN OUTRIGHT
VIOLATIONS AND IS BEING USED TO ABUSE ALL ROAD FREIGHT ENGINEERS. THEY
ARE HURTING BECAUSE OF THE EXCESSIVE MANPOWER SHORTAGES THEY CREATED
AND TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE CORONAVIRUS SCARE. ENGINEERS SSA WAS NOT
MODIFIED BY ANYONE TO ALLOW CSX TO ABUSE THESE ARTICLES OF AGREEMENT.
PUT THE CLAIMS IN. NOTE THESE AGREEMENTS.
LABOR RELATIONS IS DENYING THESE CLAIMS AND STATING THAT THERE IS NOT
ENOUGH INFORMATION AVAILBALR FOR THE CLAIMS. IF YOU HAVE A YARD TICKET
ASSIGNED THAT IS PROOF ENOUGH. IF THEY FORCE YOU TO WORK A YARD JOB
AFTER YOU GET IN FROM RELIEVING ROAD TRAINS, DEMAND A YARD TICKET BE
ASSIGNED AND STILL PUT THE CLAIMS IN. IF THEY REFUSE TO ISSUE A YARD
TICKET, THEN YOU WILL NEED PROOF THAT YOU DID THE YARD JOB. IF YOU DO
NOT GET A DISPATCHER BULLETIN ISSUED WITH A YARD JOB SYMBOL YOU WILL
HAVE NO PROOF OTHER THAN GETTING WITNESS STATEMENTS. CALL AND GET ONE!
KEEP COPIES OF CALENDAR DAY BOOKS WITH YOUR SIGNATURE ON THEM. TAKE
THEM INSIDE AND COPY THEM IF YOU HAVE TO. IF POSSIBLE SET UP THE PTC
IN THE YARD WITH YOUR BULLETIN NUMBER. THIS WILL PUT LEGAL PROOF IN THE
SYSTEM THAT YOU WERE ON THE ENGINES. IF YOU GET POWER OUT OF THE HOUSE
HAVE AN ENGINE HOUSE EMPLOYEE SIGN A WITNESS STATEMENT FOR YOU OR PUT
IT IN THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM UNDER NOTES WHO TOOK THE POWER OUT. IF YOU
FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE POWER, CALL THE POWER DESK IN JACKSONVILLE
AND REPORT THE PROBLEM.

FREIGHT VOLUME SAYS DIFFERENT. THE WAR IS ON. YOU MUST THINK OUTSIDE OF
THE BOX AND GET AS MUCH PROOF AS YOU CAN TO SUBMIT TO LABOR RELATIONS
OTHERWISE THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU DID NOT SUBMIT ENOUGH PROOF.
