You have been out of the loop for a while. Your quote of $54,000-$75,000
is more younger T&E. I used it as an example staying marked up working
regular it's more in the $90,000-$125,000+. The performance bonuses
are new. Personally when the engineers had it included in a proposed
contract in 2007 I voted it down. I would of preferred better pay
raises. By 2007 oldheads were a small minority. It passed. When
something is gained something is lost. Most of the penalty claims
don't excist anymore. The rail unions have been able to keep pay in
check but everything else has gone out the window. They don't fight
the good fight anymore. They don't take on the abuses of the rail
carriers anymore. That's troubling. Seems since they got nuetered in
the '80s when Raygun fired the air traffic controllers they never grew
a set back. You have to remember the rail & airlines unions all fall
under the 1927 Railway Labor Act.
