Of course Ward can afford it. Why not? He's been CEO/president of CSX
since 2003. He was the president of CSX under John Snow before 2003. It
doesn't matter what he buys that's his business. If someone is jealous
then they should of gotten a degree from Harvard then hired on in
management working their way up the ladder. Other than that union
railroaders make darn good money for someone who more than likely only
has a high school diploma. I personally don't care what railroad upper
management makes. If we look at the big spectrum they aren't anywhere
near those on Wall Street, banks, insurance ect....that's true for all
the railroads upper management not just CSX. I know a lot of railroaders
T&E making 6 digits a year. I was making mid '70s to low '80s on a
yard pusher a few yard industry switcher jobs were making over
$100,000. If I knew that earlier I would of went into the yard earlier
and not spent over 30 years on the road. The extra income wasn't
really that important. Even though I did like the road lifestyle.
