CSX-Sucks!

Denied Claims

Claim Invalid??

Railroaders work, and expect to be paid. It's a simple idea. Less work means less pay. Likewise, more work should mean more pay, but that's not the way things work on the CSX. According to union contracts, there are situations that warrant additional pay, for additional work, but more often than not, these claims are not honored by the CSX.

Loco, so you want some of us to take pay cuts to help others in the name
of brotherhood? You guys donít give a crap about each other any other
time. Your fight should be with the company and not the employees.
Maybe many of you shouldnít have marked off union business or FMLA so
much and bought all that useless expensive crap. Try just doing your
job and quit worrying about what everyone else does. If the phone ring
wanting me to work, why should I turn it down? I am here to feed my
family, not yours. This temporary mess was caused by the pandemic, it
will come back. Sheesh.....

Hey, Overtime. It's not turning down the work when the company
furloughs hundreds of people and then says we don't have anyone to
fill jobs. Lots of guys want to work, taking extra calls is helping the
company keep them on the street. I don't give a fuck if you had 37
years or 137 years, thats scab shit.

The scabs are showing out now. 50 guys furloughed at my terminal but
sure Trainmaster I'll take that double ticket or roster call, I'll
step up as an engineer! But but but they forced me, I had to! Bullshit.
We all know that's not true. If you take extra work when guys are
furloughed, you are a company dick sucker, plain and simple.

1) There are restoration companies that do mold, water, etc through
out the county that are also licensed and trained on a product called
steramist ( read on it) they use in hospitals and many different types
of projects that needs disinfecting and set up on site offices . Its a
very easy process. They wipe down hard surfaces let the mist do its
thing then re wipe it down. They do hospital rooms in less than 45
minutes.. Im not saying every location needs this but maybe major
terminals where many engines run through a day.. Then everyone of us
should do our part keeping cabs clean and trash bags removed after tour
of duty.. We cant bark if we dont do our part to keep things clean too.

A question for everyone. at what point do we start sticking together??
Stop the bullshit. stop playing Jr high games.. This place is toxic and
blinded by the greed of money and power they also are number dependent.
We stick together and stick it too them. The power shifts a little.
example.. Dad worked for a delivery service years ago Managers told all
30 drivers no ot for anyone. At 8 hours every driver showed up with
still half full trucks and went home. They did this for 3 or 4 days..
That ended the whole no ot rule... They wanted them to work harder to
make it work. It back fired. Had 15 drivers completed their route and
the other 15 did not. Probably a different out come.. Moral of the
story is if we all stuck together we could possibly change the outcome.
If we just bitch and turn against each other the company wins

They pay the higher ups over a few million dollars a year in stock
options and can't clean our cabs, or buy us some boots. Boots wearing
out faster with all the mounting and dismounting moving equipment.
Instead of some cheap cleaning mixture bullshit for T&E, How about
hire a professional cleaning team. To sanitize between crew change
points. If I spend the time to clean, I'm being rushed to make a
departure time.
Stop all these nonsense safety briefing over the radio, it is
distracting. Take the time to have a proper safety briefing at the
beginning of the shift. Stay off the radio unless it has to do with
train movements!

Just wanted to post this. Please report any unsanitary actions itís
unanimous. No names fully confidential. If you see dirty locomotives in
cab crew rooms anywhere we must go. Please report these issues
I know it seems they have been doing a some what if a job adding hand
sanitizer to the crew rooms however the locomotive cabs are still nasty
dirty makes it hard to pick up bleach wipes on your way in when the
stores are out to help keep from getting sick. We donít know if the
previous crew was sick getting off as you get on nothing is being done
to prevent this. Please get the word out itís quick easy and
confidential.
