    Railroaders work, and expect to be paid. It's a simple idea. Less work means less pay. Likewise, more work should mean more pay, but that's not the way things work on the CSX. According to union contracts, there are situations that warrant additional pay, for additional work, but more often than not, these claims are not honored by the CSX.

All of you FMLA abusers should be fired.  Iím not talking about the guys
who really need it and use it the right way. Iím talking about the dicks
that everytime a train that does any work comes up they all of a sudden
mark off family medical. Really suspicious how when the dead head and
turn comes up or the get off trains they are perfectly healthy. These
are my so called brothers screwing me. How can we blame the company for
anything when we constantly screw our own. There will be people who say
stop complaining and get it yourself itís f you donít like it. Well you
guys do whatever you want to do but I hope you FMLA part time workers
all get fired. I hate all of you. Every holiday weekend you guys have
to be off but Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday you guys are perfectly
healthy. Pieces of shit all of you.

Time and time again CSX has proven how useless the UTU and BLE are.
It's time to start playing hard ball with this company. Anytime
there's a derailment, injury, Hazmat spill, contact the FRA, OSHA, or
EPA don't assume CSX has done it. Also, the CSX FMLA department has
been sending out a lot of letters lately accusing employees of marking
off due to pattern layoff and threatening disciplinary action. This
cannot and will not be tolerated by CSX. Just because CSX has a
manpower shortage system wide created by upper managements greed
doesn't relieve CSX from complying from it's obligation of complying
with the U.S. governments requirements of the FMLA guidelines. These
letters from CSX's FMLA dept. should immediately be reported to the
U.S. Dept of Labor and definitely contact a Lawyer. They are trying to
make employees afraid to take off when needed and impede our ability to
take care of our serious health conditions.  Remember Folks, these
people we work for are not good people and it's their ultimate goal of
eliminating all of our jobs.

You are absolutely right.  This has been the CSX model since the first
day I was hired. In fact, it is the basic model for all railroads.  The
new cubs have no idea how it works.  I just love coming in and watching
them bitch and moan about shortages, no trains running and crazy moves.
 What these idiots just cant get through their heads is it doesn't
matter what the hell they think or want. The only thing they can moan
about it violations of the union agreements. There isn't a thing they
can do about it. We are nothing more than blue collar workers being
used like sheep. You can run your mouth and bitch and moan all you want
but at the end of the day you will do what you are told or you will be
charged with insubordination which will not pay you one dime of OOS
insurance.  I am not as sick of the job as I am of the constant mouths
running and bitching at work about everything that they  have no
control over. You come in and do as your told for 12 hours. You get
screwed and violated you put in your claim and wait to get it denied.
It is protocol for the company and labor relations to deny all claims
if possible. If you don't like the conditions you shut your mouth and
quit or grow a damn pair and do what needs to be done. Productivity is
what makes the railroad run!  LAY DOWN!  FOLLOW THE RULES TO A TEE!
IDENTIFY AND REPORT ALL FEDERAL VIOLATIONS!  That is all you have as an
advantage. So nothing is going to change because the new pups don't
know how to do anything but bitch and moan. A bunch of mama's boys
with no back bone.
As for the manpower, they have done this for over 40 years that I know
of. You lay off everyone, double up freight, make under the table
agreements with the customers and crunch numbers and lie to the
stockholders.  The only time that shit gets deep is when the USDOT gets
involved because US commerce freight is at a stall or not being moved
fairly. If it gets behind and attention is drawn to it, then people are
called back quick to get it back up where it should be. Remember when
they stalled the grain trains to move as much oil as they could because
the money was good? Remember when the grain farmers marched on the white
house demanding a fair shake? Remember when they lied and said they
weren't doing it and the Feds demanded a weekly log of what they were
moving? Once they were busted shit started moving again and we started
moving more trains. They will do everything in their power to keep the
numbers of employees down. Run everyone who is working into the ground
and take away PB, personal days and cut the caps. The union agreements
have always stated that the company will keep enough men hired to honor
reasonable lay offs. They have always and will always just ignore this
and laugh all the way to the bank. IT'S JUST A UNION AGREEMENT! JEEZ! 
How many times do you have to be told this. You don't see the CEO's
going to jail for violating this do you? It just a big fine which is
pocket change to them and with the dirty Union officials who are paid
under the table they know they have nothing to worry about. They will
cut to the bone, you will work until you are exhausted and then you
will come back and do it again until you decide to quit. Get used to
it. Get over it because the puppy workforce that is out there now has
no balls. Do what is right or quit!

No one cares how they run there company. I care when they make me do
work and donít give me another ticket which I am entitled to by the
contract they signed. They say put a claim in and I think we all know
how that goes. Thatís why the claim system is so dam stupid. It allows
us to be raped now and still not paid for it later.

To the recent poster who pointed the finger at FMLA "abusers".  Are
you single or married?  Do you have children?  Do you have a disabled
child or are you trying to raise your child as a single father?  Does
your child have a special need/circumstance?  We aren't put here to be
the judge.  Ask yourself, why are you entitled to know why any employee
is marked off FMLA in the first place?  I'll answer that for you. It
is shown to place blame on those who lay off under this code. The
railroad will learn this the hard way which will force their hand even
further.  Profits over people...always with CSX.

This site is funny and should be shut down.  If you donít like the way
the company is ran, then just quit. No one is forcing you to stay.  Go
back to McDonalds since most of you canít hack it on the railroad. 
This Circus is so amusing, but feel bad for the customers.  Managers
with no skills running the show because the company refuses to hire
those that are actually good at what they do.  Employees that mark off
FMLA all the time and try to get out of doing anything that resembles
work, yet tries to get 12 hours everyday.  If it wasnít for the 10% of
employees that actually have pride in what they do, this place would be
totally screwed.

Ha.  Railroaders are the most unhealthy workforce as a whole compared to
any industry.    Fat, fag vaping,  vending machine, chicken McNugget
eating, big swig drinking, wobble pops laid in bed till called to work
mfrs. Breathing problems, back problems, migraines,   3 of 4 are
clinically obese       Locomotives cause cancer.    AND I DONT KNOW

CSX has shown time and time again how weak and useless the Unions  are.
It's time to get a Lawyer, I have an appt. later this week to discuss
seeking legal action against CSX for FMLA harassment and
discrimination.  Hope to take them to the cleaners and drag their name
thru the mud.  Not decent people we are working for.

Just love coming into work and listening to all those company sucks who
have been stepping up and kissing ass complain now because they are butt
hurt from getting used like little bitches now. No more second tickets.
All claims denied. Union agreement raped and not one single Union rep
available to tell you  that is going to be all right. Not one single
Union rep from the International coming in to tell everyone they are in
their corner.  I don't come on here often but I remember the CN crews
telling everyone it was coming along time ago.  They warned everyone
about how the CN trash CSX hired were trained by HH to violate all
laws. Even federal laws. He go away with it with just fines. No jail
time. CSX knows they can do the same thing because it isn't against
the law to violate a union agreement. When are you pansies going to
wake the hell up and start going after the jugulars. You got to swamp
the union GC office with complaints. You got to claim them to death.
You got to whistle blow ever chance you get. You want attention from
the feds brothers. You want laws they are breaking reported. You want
the unions blasted every single day. Hell, you need a damn petition
signed and sent to the Unions to step in and do something about the
constant union violations. Its malicious. It's on purpose.  It's a
hostile work environment.
You got to lay down. You got to push back. You got to quit sucking ass
and stepping up.  Grow a frickin pair and put in the damn claims. Even
if they keep denying them. Just frickin grow a pair man! They told you
it was coming. You were warned and it's here. The old oxygen tank
dragging devil is here from the grave!
