    Railroaders work, and expect to be paid. It's a simple idea. Less work means less pay. Likewise, more work should mean more pay, but that's not the way things work on the CSX. According to union contracts, there are situations that warrant additional pay, for additional work, but more often than not, these claims are not honored by the CSX.

P.S  at your discretion you may or may not it's up to you roll your
401k into another employer 401K for the year to two years that you're
out pending arbitration and then if you get your job back you may then
roll it back into the CSX account that's a fact that's the law

Is f%$#@ you. There is nothing in the railway labor act or the
arbitration process that takes away your rights if you post your
stories here I have a phone number and a name to someone in the US
Labor employee benefits and Security Department who was already
verified and clarified that the company cannot do this the union is
just allowing the company to do it when pushed for an explanation the
company commented that it was their policy to hold the 401K

Ps.. the union is capitulate to this action that the company is taking
illegally if you are terminated or dismissed even if you may receive
your job back through the labor arbitration you may at your discretion
or may not at your discretion cash in your 401k or roll it into a
another employer 401k and then roll it back into the company's 401k if
you are awarded your job back the company is stopping people from having
access to their 401K illegally post your stories here and I will provide

Fellow T & E employees.  Our union structure is stuck in the 60ís. 
Membership is going way down with all the efficiency improvements.  It
is ridiculous to have separate unions.  So inefficient.  We need to
remember that the unions work for us, not the other way around!  I
would propose going down to one ASAP.  I believe it takes 30% of
members to sign a petition to hold a vote to get rid of a union.  The
better idea is for everyone to switch to one union forcing the other
out of town.  We can do this if the word is spread.  People want to
complain, but take no action.  Union dues will continue to go up unless
we make change happen.  We get very little representation now.  We all
know it.  It is time for US to take control.  Donít give into fear.

Here's the bottom line. You come to this website to cry about how the
company screws you, but you never mention how the Union screws you
harder than the company!! You pay your hard earn money to the union to
protect your rights,but they don't. You guys need to stick together a
fight for what your due. Here's a suggestion. If your a engineer and
not happy with the BLET then jump to the UTU or jump to the UTV to the
BLET.  It's a reduction in your union dues with the same coverage.
When the unions start losing membership and money then that may get
their attention. Until then keep your pants down and enjoy the
pounding. FIIRE YOUR UNION.

Personnel buisness markoffs are in our contract.   Csx does a way with
them. Blet sits by.

Weather mark offs have been in place for over 30 years when it's
unsafe to drive to work. Csx does away with them. Blet sits by.

Inbound doing outbounds work.  Claims not paid. Blet sits by.

Code 75 non-existent.  Blet sits by.

Csx adds new work with same pay. Blet sits by.

Pulled out of service for using Fmla. Blet sits by.

Csx adds new terminals within a subdivision. Blet sits by.

Attendance policy revised at will. Blet sits by.

It's quite simple. If the company wants to charge guys for using their
phones, don't use them. Don't call the PTC desk, don't call
trainmasters, no one. If managment needs to contact you they can use
the radio. Don't give them the opportunity to get another feather in
their caps by busting you for cell phone use.

Anybody that has been terminated or dismissed and is awaiting their
arbitration CSX is illegally holding people's 401K during this process
if you are cohorst or threatened into signing a letter of resignation
releasing the company from liability to release your 401K funds post
your stories here.

A Engineer in Cincy just got charged for using their personal Cell
phone
while on a locomotive. It never ceases to amaze me how this company
will
allow us to use our personal cell phone in the Loco. cab to help them
when they want us to call G.E., Mechanical, the dispatcher when the
radio fails, Wilcox to help with D.P. issues, or the T.M. to other
reasons to help CSX.  But it's not o.k. to use it in the cab to call
our wife, kid, or other personal reasons.  
   Well, I for one won't use my phone to help these rotten bastards,
ever. My answer is always the same, my phone is dead, sorry. It
absolutely sickens me to see my co-workers going above and beyond for
this company the way they treat us. Most of guys i work with will give
in and use their phone when requested by the Dispatcher or other
authority.  CSX wants to eliminate every one of our jobs and yet they
guys continue to help out every chance they get. I just don't get it.

Personal buisness mark offs are in our contract.    The carrier removed
this code and or denying all PB markoffs.    Why aren't we putting
claims in for this bullshit? 

Weather mark offs have been removed also.   Safety my ASS!
