U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration Emergency Temporary
Standard is Now in Effect

Based on a federal court ruling in December, the U.S. Occupational
Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Emergency Temporary Standard
(ETS) mandating companies with 100 or more employees require workers to
be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or submit to weekly testing is now
in effect. While we recognize that the U.S. Supreme Court is currently
reviewing the ETS and could delay or strike down the requirements, CSX
and other large companies must comply with the ETS requirements, which
include implementing a vaccination and testing plan by January 10.  

CSX is implementing the CSX COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Policy,
effective immediately, for all employees except those who:

do not report to a workplace where other individuals are present (such
as coworkers or customers);
have job assignments that work from home full-time;
work exclusively outdoors and never step inside a facility or building;
or
are covered by Executive Order 14042.
By February 9, 2022, employees covered by the policy must either be
vaccinated or submit to weekly COVID testing. The policy details the
guidelines and processes to which covered employees must adhere for
vaccination and COVID-19 testing. It is accessible in the Coronavirus

In addition to the policy, as of January 10, the OSHA ETS also requires
employers to determine the vaccination status of all employees and to
maintain a record of their status. Many CSX employees have already
complied with the requirement to keep their status updated in the
myCority online system . If you have not reported your status or if you
need to update it, please do so as soon as possible (donít forget to use
the Chrome internet browser). We have created a step-by-step guide to
assist you. If you have not provided your vaccination status, CSX will
assume that you are not vaccinated and you will be required to wear a
mask any time you are in a CSX building (unless alone in a room) or
occupying a CSX vehicle with another person, and beginning February 9,
you will be required to undergo weekly testing.

CSX continues to strongly urge all employees to be vaccinated as the
safest, easiest and most-effective way to comply with the federal
mandate and, most importantly, to protect yourself, your coworkers and
