LOL! If you really have 20-30 years then what did you do back when
there wasn't any A/C on locomotives? Have people become that soft? I
heard the complaints when we would get transported to the train an the
lead unit was a SD-40 second unit a CW44AC. If it was good enough for
the crew that brought it down then so be it. I remember the old tricks
of placing ice bags in front of the heater then turning on the fan,
kicking the doors wide open ect....People complain if they don't have
A/C on a yard switcher. I worked the yard my last 2 years I preferred a
GP30M over a wide body especially when having to look out for my yard
foreman who just got marked up who didn't know a boxcar from a VW bug
when it came to car lenghts. Darn people were tougher years ago.
