NY AREA


Im sure you have a hard time on your job dealing with passengers on a
regular basis. Having worked a job that dealt with large groups of
people on a daily basis I know what a pain they can be. However you
obvioulsy have no idea what we are dealing with in csx. Let me ask you
this....Is it your companies policy to constantly stalk and FAIL as
many people as they can and eventually fire or intimidate people into
quitting so they can have their precious turnover rate to keep the
revolving door on their training school turning? Is it your companies
policy to try and run off as many 100% paid employees so they can
replace them with an employee coming in at 75%? You say work more
safely?   HA! HA! I guarentee you that we all work as safely as humanly
possible! EVERYONE LOOKS OVER THEIR SHOULDERS EVERY WORKING MOMENT BUT
IT DOESNT MATTER! When management is ordered to get their failure rates
up by 50% or start looking for another form of employement there isnt a
chance in hell that someone isnt going to go down. We have all learned
that its your word against theirs. If they are out in a pack then we
all know someone is going down. They know the more witness they have
the better the chance they have of making their story stick no matter
what is fabricated or how much proof you have it didnt happen as they
say! You say quit if we dont like it.HA! HA! That would be funny
because if that happened there wouldnt be enough people left to run the
rr. NO ONE IS HAPPY working in an enviornment that has a battleground
mentality on a daily basis. Its pretty bad when people walk into the
crew room and the first thing they do is look and see who is on duty
and start taking bets on who they think is going to go down today!
Whats even more funny is they dont realize it might just be them!  I
hope for your sake and those who work with you that your company never
takes this chop and dice mentality. The passengers will be the least of
your worries. But then,I dont think you will have to worry because you
should have the public as your witnesses 90% of the time and they
should be smarter than that. Unfortunately the only witness we have is
the crew member with us. If they ever go to one man crews we will be
totally fu......!
