Rule #1 -- Don't get hurt.

    Safety is the first priority. Er, or is it the second, after money.... Or the third after getting the trains out....

Hey NoMo

I turned the Onondaga collision to the Federal Rail-bought association
as a non reported grade crossing collision since the bridge is dangling
down into the drivers grade. They should be keeping tabs on that kind of
injuries/killings for their falsified Congressional reports. So why
don't utilites run across the tracks at like 10 feet and some Mickey
Mouse signs pointing at the trains?

The NTSB I did the 5th grade math for you.
http://www.ntsb.gov/investigations/reports_rail.html
38 X 10 = 380
1X8 = 8
Total =388 reports
2012-1966 = 46 years
388/46 = 8.43
NTSB averages 8.43 investigations a year which is less than 20.
Glad I could help.

Hey Robert:

You're the one that needs to read slowly...nowhere was CSX found
guilty of anything.

What it does say is..."Surely some responsibility rests with bus
driver John Tomaszewski. He got lost on his way to the bus station,
missed 13 signs warning of the low bridge ahead and became distracted
by a GPS unit, all while piloting a vehicle carrying 28 sleeping
passengers.

Yet in acquitting Tomaszewski of criminally negligent homicide on
Tuesday — an unpopular but correct decision — Onondaga County Court
Judge Anthony Aloi finally focused attention on the ultimate culprit:
“that inherently dangerous CSX bridge.”

Up to now, the railroad somehow has managed to remain above the swirl
of activity surrounding its 100-year-old bridge. CSX has been nearly as
inert as iron and steel in reacting to the dangers the structure
poses."

Odds are the bridge was there long before the Onondaga Lake Parkway.
It's a numbered state route, the state is responsible for the road.
The state can't be sued except with their permission, which they
won't give. Just watch and see if the state lets a contract to lower
the underpass.

With regard to the NTSB...over the years, you have made your feeling
crystal clear on the FRA and NTSB, that they are pawns of the
oppressors. Either back up you statement,"NTSB doesn't go out 20
times a year..." with proof or you're the liar!

Nomo read slow ---Megabus Verdict: It’s time CSX owned up to role in
parkway crashes ---That's a CSX problem

NTSB doesn't go out 20 times a year and you say they always show up.
So you are a LIER and a poor hired gun.

Hey Robert:

The only thing you've done...gets flushed!

The bridge is a non-issue...it's a state, county or city issue and the
NTSB will eventually show up at RR accidents sites.

Nice try though.

Amazing how accidents HAPPEN.

If one pulls out in front of a police car, with lights, and Siren= most
likely someone get's their as- kicked.

Same with fire trucks.

Now the difference is, how small the strike zone is for Rail, and how
many warnings are there to protect the right to run freight over
private property.

One easy way to protect yourself and your family, stay clear of the
tracks. However if ya want to drive around the rail operations, you can
do that, just remember ya might get over on my property, and now you
will have a real problem. My whack is much nicer than one from a
Locomotive.

Hey Robert:

You only effective in your own mind...give us one variable instance of
your effectiveness.

I bet your kids are real proud of you and I wounder what your wife
would think.

I haven't worked for the railroads in years and you know...but if you
are going to make these wild claims you better be able to back them up.
You can't, so you spin them to fit your personal agenda.

If you're going to pick a fight, pick one you can win...so far you
record is underwhelming!

Hey Robert:

There you go again.

I guess "TREES---SAND PILES---BRUSH---TERRAIN" didn't work, so now
it's "Dirt= Failed signals, Water = Sight obstructed crossing, Mud
pie= train vehicle collision".

Keep deflecting and trying other possible causes...when you get to
illiterate redneck, beer and darkness, you will be getting warmer.
Until then, turn your back to the wind before you piss!

I guess you really don't care what people think of you...

Seems SlowNomo isn't as smart as a fifth grader. The recipe
Dirt= Failed signals
Water = Sight obstructed crossing
Mud pie= train vehicle collision

Ain't really rocket science there is it SlowNomo?

Good Morning Robert:

The truth upsets you...why is that?

Let me answer that for you...because it doesn't match your warped
sense of reality. You live in a world not unlike the Twilight Zone
were nothing is what it seems.

I try to get you to think...like leading a Mule to water for a drink
but you can't make a Mule drink unless he wants to. You don't want to
think. It's always the RR's fault.

You could be an asset if you wanted, but you rather wallow around in
your own miserable world and cry wolf at every rail crossing accident.
Not unlike the boy that cried wolf, people have quit listening;
therefore, you are a liability to the cause you hold so dear.

Your incapable of change...you like what you are. So waste all the time
you want making these meaningless posts but when there is an accident
that is the result of RR negligence or fraud, don't expect
anyone to listen.

Don't feel bad though...I don't listen to wife either when she starts
nagging...kinda like a gnat buzzing in your ear, eventually
it will go away or die!!!

So SLOW NoMO Clem asks Bubba " Where did the truck go" Bubba answers
"I think it hit us"? Why were they able to see the truck? Can you
spell TREES---SAND PILES---BRUSH---TERRAIN weren't in the way? You

Hey Pines:

Dumb ass...why don't you jump in the pick up and head down to
Cantonment. Bring your Kodak Brownie and take some pictures so you can
show them to someone who cares.

It only 550 miles from Sullivan to Cantonment, an easy days drive.

At 11PM the driver was probably trying to get around the gates and hit
the train at an angle somewhere behind the engine...that would explain
the driver still being alive, crew being unaware of hitting anything
and spinning the vehicle. Sorry, trees, sand piles, brush and terrain
had nothing to do with it. Better luck next time Robert!

Well NoMo dipstick ---I don't understand how the crew wouldn't know
they hit something---Probably the same reason the vehicle driver
didn't know a train was coming. Can you spell TREES---SAND
PILES---BRUSH---TERRAIN in the way? Did you report these obstructions?

I've worked that job a few times...I believe that's a truss
manufacturer on the south end and it looks looks a precast yard to the
north, which must be new because I don't remember it.

The northbound local would drop empties and a Montgomery bound line
haul would pick up the loads. I'm sure the job has changed in the 10
years since I worked it.

I don't understand how the crew wouldn't know they hit something
unless the engine was long hood forward or they clipped the very front
of the truck on the conductor's side and he was down stairs.
