Rule #1 -- Don't get hurt.

To: No Mo,

To review any corporate ceo salary and other generous benefits; you
simply goggle the name and Forbes will usually have a complete profile
of the ceo. It's very simple...you should know that...you been on this
site for a while posting! Maybe post it in the ready room!

Hey Robert:

After your post I went back and reviewed the Google imagine again...
Fern Lake road does indeed continue around but I still don't believe
there is enough traffic to justify the expense.

You know NoMo railroads remind me of the cable companies I worked for.
They let the suppliers do the plant planning. Come to a corner with a
three way split and instead of putting a amplifier and splitting three
ways the three way split was done then an amplifier one pole away in
three directions using three amplifiers. There "might" be new houses
put in eventually ---heck just put an expensive amplifier in NOW and
snub it off. With the buy outs and the new companies having to make up
for the profits of the old companies selling ---Thus ridiculously high
bills.

How much did Illinois pay out of the crossing safety budget for all
these neat pictures preventing lights and gates elsewhere. Isn't the
formula to waste the most funds in one spot preventing signals from
going in elsewhere saving the railroad maintenance fees? $300,000 is
1.5 signals elsewhere PLUS if the gates fail it's more un-likely
anybody would be killed. Yep this crossing would of had CSXs full
cooperation. But not now with the wrongful death suits that goes on
hold.

Notice how ICC gets the nice close up of the mickey mouse sign for CSXs
court date later (Shanklin)? And how they were very careful not to get
the four quadrant sight views or the rough crossing surface.

The Amtrak PR gal just got raised to $160,000 in a sex discrimination
suit. How much the railroad pay you for your PR work?

Anybody know how to put a FRA approved banner with a line down to the
railroad sign in this picture to be reused? I think it would be
classic.

Hey Robert:

In regard to the Clark County incident...Clark county is rural and only
has a population of 16,500. Fern Lake Rd. provides access for
8-10 residences on two dead end roads. It is highly unlikely
the driver was unfamiliar with the area.

There is a dog leg on the north side of the tracks going into the
residential area. Driving southbound into the residences the field of
vision appears to be adequate, especially being mid Winter and the
foliage is dormant. The outbound field of vision also appears
adequate.

There will never be gates or lights at this crossing...the road dead
ends and there aren't enough residents to justify the expense. A
chainsaw, bulldozer and several loads of clay will straighten out
the north side approach.

This should have never been scheduled for improvement, I don't think
there is anything fishy yet but this bears watching because it might
start smelling like pogie if the funding ever becomes available!

NOMO--First I need to find out from somebody that has done signals to
tell me the % of the crossings is rip off to know how many years ago
the signals would have went in if the rip offs hadn't occurred. Reckon
Mr. Doe would know someone like that. I;m thinking anything this year
would have been in 10 years ago which makes it negligent homicide on
the railroads part. Oh ---$300,000 of the $520,000 is to fix the
approaches. I bet the driver didn't know the approaches were bad.

Good morning Robert:

Seems the LPFB, I mean the Pompous Pauper has departed, we can get back
to our normal level of insanity and delusion.

The three links you posted on the 23RD, how was that CSX's fault?
All the accidents were the fault of the drivers or pedestrians.
The one in Trenton, OH is particularly egregious. There is no other
explanation for the Father's action other than being stupid. To be
Frank, there's really not enough info on the Olmstead Falls accident
to conclude anything. The Clark County incident was the result of the
drivers inattention.

The FRA report you linked to in you Feb. 23Rd response to the LPFB
was dated 1987 and would require a degree in Physics to understand
it or a degree in Mathematics to understand the methodology.

So it will cost Illinois $520K to improve the crossing at Fern Lake Rd.
Understand this is just their plan and is subject to funding. It may be
years before this gets done if it ever gets done. You could have just
as easily blamed the State for the Clark County accident.
The projected plan was for 2011-2015, had the crossing been high
priority, the work would have been bid, awarded and completed by now.

Pointspread Pauper I figure 98% railroad fault and 2% no fault.

http://www.fra.dot.gov/downloads/safety/grxing_summary.pdf page 11.
Let's see. Like 80% of the passive collisions would be eliminated with
lights and gates per our government. The other 20%
---failed signals---Railroad fault
short timed signals ---railroad fault
vehicles stalled---railroad fault (no video equipment}
vehicles hung up on the humps---railroad fault
the second train blocking the view of the moving train---railroad fault
for not staggering trains
icy unattended approaches-- railroad fault
sun glare blocked out signals---railroad fault (signals and trains
lighting sucks}
failed vehicle brakes--- No fault either way
driver medical problems --no fault either way---
driver accidentally hits accelerator---no fault either way etc.
vehicle is rear ended and knocked onto crossing ---railroads fault (the
approaches suck)
FACTS a real Operation Lifesaver would be stating instead of
downplaying gate importance.
Civilians ran down like dogs ---Railroads fault . No lookouts ---video
equipment

Pointspread Pauper seems to me your tromping through others tater
patches (big word} to get to your tomato vines.

By the way Code Red in GTMO was base alert not a blanket party killing
a Marine soldier. I know I caused a Code Red with a boil on my ass.
Code Red sounded better I guess and sensationalized --- To cast and
present in a manner intended to arouse strong interest, especially
through inclusion of exaggerated or lurid details (big word} the movie
audience.

I'm the individual who will serve as the proximal cause for the
railroads being compelled to account for the misconduct they have
engaged in and to be held responsible AS EVIDENCED BY their removal
from any decision-making authority within the communities...

..again, if you presently have better numbers or can obtain better
numbers, I am fine with that

Then come up with some numbers/percentages of your own, Robert... 5% is
fine with me since I'm only "looking at"/"dealing with"
reprehensible conduct by the railroads subsequent to the crash.

Now if they engaged in reprehensible conduct prior to the crash & lied
about it subsequent to the crash - I'm interested in that

If you have better numbers/percentages or can find some better
numbers/percentages then by all means, I'll use them from now on

...The reason you stick only to "railroad crossing accident" where
drivers are at fault %95+ of the time...

I'm still having problems with this statement. Why would anybody use
Nomos #s in a slight of hand trick? Don't look over here where most
people get killed but look over here at the few RRs fatalities. What I
see is the old hickabilly trick if you can't baffle them with
brilliance ---buffalo them with bullhockey.

Let's see CSX blood alley totals yesterday. 1 KID killed ---3 KIDS
injured - 4 adults killed. Michael Ward SHILL that!!!
