    "The railroad is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week operation", many of us have been told, when requesting some extra 'rest' between jobs. Unfortunately, the people that make the railroad move, like all other people, do not operate "24 hours a day, 7 days a week".

    Anyone who's worked around the clock has either seen, or experienced first-hand, the inevitable effects of sleep deprivation. Maybe it was you, maybe it was the jitney driver, maybe it was....

    The real fun is when someone tries to explain to the crew-caller that they are too tired to go to work.

Everyone wants a sick out or wildcats strike, but I pose this question
to all rank and file. What if we rally against the union you know push
them in the right direction, see bad PR is the last thing a union
wants, would would have other unions comeing out of the wood work
putting their 2 cents in. I have always said to go after the union and
hold them accountable, the company has not, will not and will never
care its business to them and rightfully so, I am a union member and a
stronger believer in a strong union but it starts at the top, on a
local level there is very very few things that LC can change. The
question is how to do this I'm not so sure news organizations would
care about over paid railroaders crying. Make no mistake the UTU is as
much at fault as CSX, they are the buffer

Marking off at the way from terminal


Yes CSX will NOT provide you a way home. This is happening all across
the system.  Two of my co- workers were told this recently.   The
latest one was spitting up blood and lost his voice and couldn't speak
by the time he got to the home terminal.     He was in bad shape.  He
lives on the rails. Had to lay off Thursday to Monday.  Faxed something
from his Dr. To medical department and still received 26 points and is
now in step 2.         This place is a fing joke. F CSX and F the lap
dog unions.

Engineers put your claim in for every tour of duty that you dismount the
engine to watch a train by.   Flood the carrier with these legit claims.
   They will deny them but after the Lc forwards a lot will be paid due
to the time running out for the carrier.   This is the only way to put
a stop to this silly shit.

Rod Doerr and Dave Foley are corporate frauds just like the recently
fired XO Cameron Scott!
They work hand and hand covering up injuries by promoting the injured,
who turn out to be incompetent, and all the time a hindrance to the
operating department. And because of that, Precision Scheduling Train
operations will never come to full fruition, because negligently
promoted managers don't know how to turn around in a phone booth!
