June 16, 2010 CSX bridge truck about to get hit by a CSX train. Near Slaughters, KY.

CSX should "train" it's vehicle operators to not park on a crossing and text while the passenger is putting up the 707 boards.

This is a head-on at Banks, Alabama. There may be good reason why we prefer wide body engines.

great job with those remotes

The tunnel collapsed about 100 feet in - the 2 engines ran into the cave in and derailed all the way back. This happened in Kentucky between Louisville and Cincinnati about 2 weeks ago.

CSX freight train slammed into another train in Northside, damaging two other trains and derailing 16 cargo and tanker cars.

The wreck occurred when a locomotive pulling 64 cars struck the rear of another train on a set of three tracks near Spring Grove Avenue and Dooley Bypass, north of the CSX rail yard

CSX crews were given a week to replace a grade crossing in Massachuetts. This is track one which looks great. However it took them six days.

This is track two. This was done on the last day of their reconstuction project in Massachusetts. Way to go CSX!

Here are the rubber gaskets that were supposed to be installed between the asphalt and the rail. Instead they threw them in the woods behind some old ties.

Local police guard a decommissioned nuclear reactor from protesters.

Tim Petrosky, spokesman for Consumers Energy, the Michigan utility responsible for the move, claimed the radiation level was only one-tenth of the allowable limit and that there was "absolutely zero risk" to the public.

It takes a company spokesman to claim that 1/10 = 0.

Dr. Mengele of CSX examines injured Amtrak passenger. Knowing the man will sue, Dr. Mengele states in his report: The man was overweight, had flat feet and his injuries were most likely from a former life. CSX had nothing to do with his condition.

Is that on fire? Or is that just the exhaust?

A remote controlled engine burned these spots on the rail, the operator was 90 car lengths away, nobody on the engine.

Any rumors of a buy-out have been squashed, as evidenced by this photo of a new-hire engineer at the controls of a crack CSX freight. Recruiters have been hanging out at daycare centers and nursery schools in an effort to bolster T&E rosters, which have been reduced dramatically by the lowering of the retirement age to 60 earlier last year.

This fellow was hired straight out of the Happy Hill Nursery School. Currently working the extra list, he hopes to hold a regular pool by the end of summer.

I think the woman in the car was taking a nap on the tracks.
Or maybe she just needed a lift to the next crosing which is where the Safeway is.

Foreman had track; dispatcher told him after two trains you can come back and and go to work. Foreman had a 707. He couldn't count, came out after one. Welding truck behind him, saw train coming. Welders jump out and ran. Foreman thought he could out run train in reverse, didn't see welders. Hit their truck, train hit him. Lucky to be alive!

Goober after a hard day at work. French fry extrordinaire, relaxing out on the town with his lovley wife. Goober is on the right. He likes to slip into something a little more comfortable when he leaves work and this is one of his favorite outfits when away from his demanding job.

For all of you that were curious what Michael Wards Office looked like!

The V.P.'s in the Customer Service Department have been told to start cutting jobs so automation can take over. The previous VP tried his best but didn't reach quota, he told the higher ups that the technology was still not in place to do the work of the clerks but they didn't want to hear it so they let him go. Now the new VP was told that she had to cut 200 jobs. Also, the new VP looks just like Cruella, hence why I used her.

This is the dispatcher. Did you just say the engine is on fire?

The fire occurred on train Q42018 on April 18th. The crew got a "clearance defect axle 16" from the detector at Warren MA on the Boston subdivision. The engineer looked back and saw smoke pouring from the top of the third unit. He thought it was coming from the stack, but the conductor told him the unit was on fire. The Warren FD did an admirable job of extinguishing the blaze. The photos were taken in Worcester, where the crew was relieved. Unfortunately, the photographer's pictures show the side with the MINOR damage!

Is this just a spelling error, or the "front" for a sperm bank?

This seems to be a tank car that was steam-cleaned, then sealed. As the steam cools, it creates a vacuum. The sound this made must have been tremendous.
Note the haz-mat placard. It makes me feel safe just thinking about it.

Webmaster's note: For anyone who's never seen one of these in real life, the ceiling is about 5ft tall. In the summer, they get 20° hotter than hell, with a smell that's unmistakable from 100ft away. In the winter, they're 20° colder than outside, and drafty, still with a smell that's unmistakable from 100ft away.
